Overseas Filipino workers (OFW) are always praised for their greatness.
However, news has it that a great number of them all over the world face some dangers in one point of their life working abroad.
Reasons are varied but here is a list of the bad attitudes of some OFW’s that puts them in danger.
Carelessness
This usually happens when an OFW goes out with friends to have party either in another OFW’s house or elsewhere.
Most often an OFW is careless in leaving her drinks unattended tempting those individuals with some evil interest to put something in a drink.
This is very dangerous
because you might find yourself naked with somebody you do not know or somebody you hate somewhere you are unfamiliar with.The worst scenario would be looking at yourself posted in the internet without your knowledge.
Boldness
Boldness means having the attitude of not dressing properly either in the house of the employer or in or in the office.
Some OFW’s make a mistake of putting on too short skirts or tight short pants which may tempt their employers to rape them.
Despite of the orientation seminar held before departure, many still make a mistake of dressing themselves improperly especially women. This makes you a vulnerable victim of rape.
Sneering at the boss
Although, you cannot avoid having cruel bosses, you should not sneer.
This makes you a good target to be harmed by your employer including their family members. OFW’s who are caught sneering are subjected
to physical punishments which are sometimes severe.Gate crashing
Though this is not confined to OFW’s alone, most OFW’s have the attitude to gate crash at another’s party.
This makes them at risk of physical harm just the same.
People who do not like gate crashers might hurt them in any way.
This could also be a start of a quarrel which could be dangerous as you might end up in jail or be deported depending on the country you are in.
Show off
OFW’s have the attitude to show off their worth.
As a result, they buy expensive jewelries or accessories which may attract the burning eyes of robbers around.
Some who cannot wear those exorbitant body accessories go to the extent of talking about aloud until they end up to a hold upper.
